I finally forced myself to go back to doing some Lindy Hop. I sooo miss dancing more often — especially Lindy. It’s such a charming and fun dance… and best of all my fiancee came out with me!
I knew about Hammer Hoppers even before moving to Hamilton, but only managed to sneak out to one of their lessons a few months ago. I was in the middle of a brutal rotation at the time so I couldn’t make it out to the Wednesday night lessons consistently… but now I’m on Family Medicine, which is certainly busy but the schedule is at least predictable.
So… yay! Lindy! New session just started this past Wednesday but if you’re interested I’m sure you can still join in the fun. If you’re wondering what it’s all about… come out to the Pepper Jack Cafe this Monday (July 9) night for some live music and dancing!
Going for a little swing dancing tonight at Reservoir Lounge. Should be a blast! I haven’t seen Michelle in a while, either, so it’ll be fun. For all my complaints about her, she’s a nice enough person. Especially now that I’m no longer single and thus shouldn’t be hitting on her. :D
Well, enough chit chat. Must get ready…. gah the temp today has me all sweaty and what not. Well, the dancing will drench me anyway, so what does it matter? ;)
Well, I went swing dancing twice this week. Much fun! On Tuesday in Ottawa with Lorenne, and then I went out to Reservoir Lounge on Thursday night with Anna. Not med school Anna, another friend of mine. I’ll have to tell Sam, Anna has been resisting her attempts to go out dancing for some time now, and yet all it took was a little bit of my charm… ;)
Heheh, and that singer has a crazy blues voice. Janice Hagen? I think that’s her name. Anyway, it was rather sexy. Yes, yes, she’s a bit old, but hey… :P
Well, I really need some sleep. Flying out to Thunder Bay tomorrow. I got an external HD case to put my 200 GB drive into, so I’m bringing that too, hehe. Will not be without my music for a second! :P

I have to drag some other ppl out to this. It’s too late now to make calls (oh, I just got back from that blues workshop & dance I went to with Michelle… it was a blast!!! I gotta get up to make it there for 11:30 AM tomorrow though… :( so I’d better get some sleep)

The Toronto Jazz Festival is going to kick off soon… not too sure what events I’m going to yet, but I will have to check out SOMETHING. :)
The other thing… there’s a dance workshop this weekend. It’s really expensive, so I probably won’t go to most of it… but I’m going to the blues thing tonight. 8:30 at the Dovercourt. Should be fun… Michelle’s coming too, so you can’t beat that, hehe.
I’d like to go to the all-day workshop tomorrow, but $85 is a lot to drop on something. It’s just that I haven’t been dancing in a while and I need a bit of a kick-start to get back into things… we’ll see if I like the teachers or not.
wow, it’s 2pm already. How time flies. Gotta get some stuff done before Michelle gets here… (like clean up my room. As much as I can with computer parts littering every little bit of open deskspace…)

Anyway, I had dinner with a certain someone tonight. Well, as far as you know it’s tonight, ’cause I’m backdating this entry. Things went well. :) And… I finally learned some blues!! We went dancing at the dovercourt and that’s what they were teaching… me happy now. :) I still suck, but at least I know ONE move… lol…
Ok now I have that date marked, in case things actually go somewhere. You know, girls can be sticklers for important dates and such. (date as in time-on-calendar).

Oooh my first blog entry from Ottawa. Just chillin’ at my friend’s house. Got to meet his girlfriend Melissa… she’s pretty cute. ;) They seem quite attached at the hip, it’s rather funny.
Anyway I’m being anti-social so ttyl. Oh yeah, swing dancing last night was soooo much fun. It was good to see Michelle & Sam again…
