eHealth Ontario wasting taxpayer money…

May 28, 2009 By: DancingSamurai Category: Links

… and in other news, politicians lie, the sun sets in the west, etc., etc.

What is it with government agencies spending millions of dollars on old technologies? eHealth Ontario’s predecessor, SSHA, had the most backwards data connections ever – they should have just used the Internet (with good encryption, obviously). Now what exactly has eHealth Ontario spent $5million on? Fattening the wallets of their buddies.

Bah…. I’m sick of this.

From the CBC:

An Ontario health agency has doled out nearly $5 million in contracts without any apparent attempt to open up the deals to outside bidders, documents obtained by CBC News show.
