First day post-call
Well, I’ve gone through what every clerk must go through – your first day on call! Luckily it was on one of the services I’m most interested in, obstetrics & gynecology (well, the OB part anyway). It was really exciting, though I only got about 2 hours of sleep!
I was mostly on Labour & Delivery… I got to do a vaginal delivery… it was awesome. Got to see a few more of those and a c-section… do some assessments including some in the ER. ah, such is the life. By morning I was exhausted, but we had to go to seminar… :( After seminar I just went home and flopped onto bed, hehe. It’s nice having your post-call day off. :)
Well, now it’s back to the grind… study for the seminar tomorrow, do some reading… it just never ends!
I also have the joy of being on call thanksgiving weekend. Yay! :S grumble grumble…
