Back from camping…
Yup, another camping trip. We went to Rainbow Falls, which is a bit out of Thunder Bay, but Nicole (one of the Summer Studentship students here) lives in Terrace Bay, and it’s near there… so we went! It was fun. Actually Jimmy and I weren’t sure we were going since Karen was tired and waffling; she ended up not coming but since we had nothing else to do, Jimmy and I went anyway! I’m sure glad we did!
We got there, booked a campsite… a few other girls we knew were there already (the aforementioned Nicole, her roommate Shannon (I’ve got pics of those two up already. Especially Nicole, since she’s cute AND single (as far as I know…) *evil grin*). Lee and Mel were there two, I didn’t know them before. Anyway, they were out at the beach when we got there, and we were starving, had no firewood, and no food… so we ducked out to go to this famous italian restaurant (Rosie’s & Josie’s) nearby. I know, I know…. going camping and then going to a restaurant?! It’s SACRILEGE I tell you…. *hangs head in shame*
We also ran into these 3 young & amazingly beautiful girls in the next campsite over and introduced ourselves… Jimmy was somewhat reluctant, they were too young for him or something. Come on, they’re 20ish, plenty old enough. :P
Hehe anyway when the girls got back we settled down for some good camping fun. Dinner, some nice little games… I pulled out the guitar and played a bit. I really really need to learn more songs… but Mel could actually sing, she was really helping me out.
Then the girls got kinda tired at 10ish or so… so Jimmy and I went over to our new friend’s site (the other girls: Heather, Katrina, and… uh-oh drawing a blank… started with an S… this is awful isn’t it, I was just there!? WTF? I’m going senile already I tell you…!! Well, I videotaped us all night someone’s gotta have mentioned her name… )
Much drinking and truth-or-dare Jenga ensued, as well as a little jaunt out to the lake by the light of the full moon in the wee hours of the morning. It was gorgeous, the reflection of the trees in the ultra-calm lake was like a perfect mirror… and thin wisps of finest white mist floated above the like like a wild spiky hairdo… it was breathtaking. Having Heather there helped, of course. *evil grin*.
Anyway, pictures & video clips will be going up right here shortly…
