Swing @ The Dovercourt

January 07, 2004 By: DancingSamurai Category: Events

For all of you not going to Montreal, this Saturday might be a good time to start the swingin’ year on the right foot (or the left, for us guys, haha) at the Dovercourt House, before the work really starts piling up. As a bonus, there’s a beginner Balboa lesson. Maybe I won’t have to wear myself out trying to do Lindy to those super-fasts songs any more. :)

So here are the details, copied-and-pasted from www.odd-socks.org

SATURDAY JANUARY 10, 8pm to 1am
Swing Dance and beginner Bal lesson
Lesson from 8pm to 9pm taught by Peter Komady
Dance from 9:10pm to 1am with DJs including Peter Komady
Dovercourt House, Toronto (directions below)
$7 for the dance, $10 with the lesson

Dovercourt House is at 805 Dovercourt Road, Toronto, which is one block north of Bloor Street and one block west of the west exit of the Ossington subway stop. (… and several blocks west of the EAST exit, as I found out in utter confusion last time…)

Hope to see at least some of you there!!

  1. Ok, I’m getting tired of seeing “0 people care” for every single entry on this site, so I posted this. I didn’t actually end up going this time. Everyone I had possibly thought might come told me they weren’t coming and it was much too cold outside anyway. But this week (17th) is a definite go. So come on out!!
